Decided to draw over some of those sketches just for the heck of it. xD
This started as a sketch of a hand, then I saw that hand and thought, what an ugly hand! and attached a body and face to it. Then I lined it—and the hand got uglier! Then I started to colour and just…erased the arm and hand. Yup.
Good use of a warm up doodle for sure. Ah well. I wanted to draw Nik this morning anyway. why am i posting this

Challenge Entry #3!
Inspired by the Kamisama Dolls opening. I wanted to do something inspired by something else and I thought that the boxy look of this opening was far different from anything I would do on my own.
There’s this challenge this. That forces you to try new things to learn and get better by doing something new and different each day. Aly said I should do it, and I agree. I should. Practice and experiment with new things and stuff. I’ll probably have to do it every second day just to balance time, but I’ll try not to give up and take this huge lame break. (like the 30 day character challenge lol……which I never finished.)
SO! Here’s day one; diving right in with an attempt to make an interesting Composition, because I know that is where I am lacking in most. Composition completely boggles me—I have a hard time grasping what makes a composition look interesting. There’s some symbolism junk in this too that, if Artoris becomes something, would be a bit of a spoiler?
Anyway, my friend suggested looking at photography and practising with a composition from a photo that is interesting and bringing that to something that I want to draw. The composition I referenced was this, I tried to retain what appealed to me about the shapes of the picture, but change the elements.
I don’t know, it’s certainly more interesting than my usual standing in the middle of the page compositions.
If you have the time and want to branch out and try this challenge too, you should! I might need the moral support of seeing other people doing it too. Wish me luck. xD </cease rambling>
