Zombie Drug OR I Feel Bad For My Mother Sometimes
MAKIO: and man, who's to say there isn't someone all up and putting zombie powder in the drugs they're trafficing.
MAKIO: like---they put poison and junk in there.
MAKIO: maybe there is an underground drug trafficing circle hoping to zombify the world through drug possession.
MAKIO: wait that sounds like a movie. is that a movie?
MOM: don't think so - sounds like it should be - get on that would you :D
MAKIO: it's all like "I disguise myself as a horror zombie drugCircle politics movie. but man I am really just one. big. don't do drugs. message.'
MAKIO: it would be dark and grungy.
MAKIO: no wait it's a musical! like repo
MAKIO: wait no one takes musicals seriously, even when they are. so it's not a musical.
MAKIO: wait okay, it's a broadway first.
MAKIO: and then it's a movie based on the broadway.
MAKIO: and then some angry fans make the indie film musical version because they are sad that their favourite songs weren't in the movie.
MAKIO: and then the fanmade version gets greenlite for a hollywood blockbuster version of the musical and it's rereleased with all this hype! but they star terrible actors and everyone likes the indie film better.
MAKIO: so the musical doesn't sell but everyone downloads the indie version off of iTunes. and hollywood continues to think that musicals and niche and trite not realizing all the money those fans in the indie movie are making on itunes.
MAKIO: and the indie fans are just---man we shouldn't have used itunes they take a lot of bang off the buck
MAKIO: meanwhile, the person who wrote the novel that inspired the broadway is sitting in their house wondering if anyone knows they exist. and the hipsters are sitting in starbucks muttering disapprovingly into their scarves that they read the books before it was popular.
MAKIO: and then suddenly all these tweens think it's cool to pretend they are drugCircle zombie powder induced zombies and they give the whole fandom a bad name.
MOM: wow - this is very cool - continue
MAKIO: then someone writes some fanfiction about the illicit love between a girl and her slowly slipping into drug concocted zombi-ism boyfriend and she's such a mary-sue but everyone can relate to her and two chapters before the end the girl writing it just says
MAKIO: "sorry guys I got a publisher. this isn't fanfiction anymore. look forward to the rest of the story in a ereader store!" and then she releases a 5 novel set about this story and it becomes super popular.
MAKIO: because 'everyone wants a zombie boyfriend'
MAKIO: 'oh when he bites her neck and is muttering 'i love you, please don't let me do this to you' I cried so much! because this is what I want a man to say to meeee'
MOM: but that commentary is soo well thought out for two minutes
MAKIO: and then there are essays about how the novels are a step back for feminism! don't support them! you're belittingly yourself as females!
MOM: wow - the ending is so ... what really happens in this world :S
MAKIO: and women's rights activists tear the book apart!!!
MAKIO: and older woman are swooning when they read the book. because they like to pretend too. that they are young and have a hot zombie boyfriend.
MAKIO: and then people who knew the original novel, broadway, movie, indie musical are crying because they don't want to admit they are fans of anything related to this anymore. because it's embarrassing being put on the same level as all this romance stricken people.
MAKIO: they don't want illicit zombie romances. they enjoyed the statements the original original material made about drug trafficing and the dangers it presents!!
MAKIO: when they hear that the 5 novel books have been greenlit for movies they silently end their lives as zombie fans and move onto something else.
MAKIO: but they still get messages from their haydays as fans of zombie media. only they are messages from 14year olds wondering why they don't draw or write about or sing about zombies anymore!!
MAKIO: why have they stopped loving zombies!!!
MAKIO: and they bitterly stare at the messages and say
MAKIO:
MAKIO: "IT'S BECAUSE OF YOU."
MAKIO: but they don't actually post that
MAKIO: they just post "I'm sorry. I don't feel all that connected to the fandom anymore. But there are a lot of people who still are! New people! So check them out."
MAKIO: as they answer this they suddenly feel sorry for those new people sending a horde of 10 000 14year old zombie-boyfriend wanting girls their way. so they backspace and just leave it at.
MAKIO: "I'm sorry. I don't feel all that connected to the fandom anymore."
MAKIO: they then turn off anonymous messages and tucker themself down for the night knowing full well what they are going to wake to in the morning.
MAKIO: meanwhile, somewhere far from you. a person who is long since dead. the author or the original novel. turns sideways in her grave and weeps.
MAKIO: the end
MAKIO: AND THIS HAS BEEN THE ROUGH SUMMARY OF EVERY FANDOM EVER
MAKIO: some conditions (ie presentation of media) may vary.
MOM: question - do you read what you write?

The more and more stuff I remove from my shelves, the more and more the TRUE challenge of packing starts to rear its head.

Today I sat a box down on a spider. When I lifted it the poor thing looked horrible. Flipped over legs in the air.
I felt pretty bad. Spiders are really cute.
But I underestimated the little dude. He shrugged it off and ran away like it was nothing.
